The incentive to ambition is the love of power. - William Hazlitt
Political-minded, controlled, and charismatic Mudstorm is a Warrior of ShadowClan. Brought up by her mother alone, she has always been a little dubious of others' sincerity. Her father, a well-respected Warrior and candidate for Deputy many times over, was completely distant from his kits, never showing them any love or affection and avoiding them and their mother.
Frustration for her father's high position in the Clan ("Senior Warriors" was something she didn't understand in her youth; they were all fighters, what did it matter?) and wanting to wound his pride for leaving them, thoughts of Clan Leadership morphed into ambition, and before she even left the nursery she was driven to become leader.
Fun fact: Sometimes she forgets to eat through all the work she does, hence why she is so thin. She is considered very pretty even by other Clans, and especially for a ShadowClanner (when they are known for having rough or wiry cats).
She will be appearing in a story coming soon, formerly titled "World of Gray". It will be renamed and rewritten.
I will have another character from that story up hopefully later today.
Name Mudkit, Mudpaw, Mudstorm Clan ShadowClan Rank Kit, Apprentice, Warrior Personality Traits Charismatic and calm Ambitious from anger at her father Kindhearted, but sometimes smothers it Self-centered but not uncaring for others Intelligent and manipulative Family Lilytail, mother Eagleflight, father (estranged) (???), siblings? I love it! I wish I could give you an awesome critique on it. I like the way you drew a picture of her and then put a bio for her. I've always wanted to do that, but I can't draw. Know that you are very lucky to be so talented. I also love how you put a theme song for her. That is exactly what I do with my characters. You wouldn't believe how many characters were actually formed by the songs I listen to. XD So are you going to write the story, or is someone else going to?
Again, really. *Uploading soon. One more she-cat, one more tom. And yes, I am writing the story myself c: I want to be an author, so it's good practice. Sorry about the really jumbled replies! And thank you again for your kind and detailed comment.
See, I'm looking to be an an author too, but I can't illustrate. To tell the truth, I actually listen to music and make music videos of the characters... in my head. It's actually pretty cool. I would make actual videos out of them but... I wish I could animate.
Those two songs you already have are really good. Try looking up Linkin Park, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, definitely stay with 30 Seconds to Mars, and maybe even Red? All of them have amazing songs to make characters out of(i.e. "Phenomenon" by Thousand Foot Krutch for Scourge. Someone made a cool video on youtube about that.) I personally listen to the album "Reanimation" by Linkin Park for a lot of my inspiration.
Keep writing, Keep drawing, and most of all, Keep inspiring others.
Oh, don't worry. I do that all the time. I've sort of got one going for the next character I'll be uploading to "You're Going Down" by Sick Puppies--she's a serious one, that one. I can't animate either; closest I ever got was a flip book and it was, admittedly, horrible.
I love a LOT of Linkin Park songs, and I know a few songs by each of those. My main bands of inspiration are 30STM, Yellowcard, Florence + The Machine, Panic! at the Disco, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Three Days Grace, Rise Against, Red Hot Chili Peppers and I'm starting to get into Of Monsters and Men. And I have lots of other songs I like from a bunch of other bands.
Sorry, deviantART mobile glitched on me. Mudstorm, as well as the second cat I uploaded, Shadowstrike, have 10-song playlists in the works. So do their two other companions that I'll be u
Wow. You don't know how awesome it is for me to get such a long, detailed comment! I really appreciate it. And thank you. I love using theme songs for the characters of my stories, or at least having songs that help me write them even if they don't quite fit. It jogs my brain. It just so happens, though, that Mudstorm and the second one I u
